Meet Sanjay Goyal

Sanjay Goyal was born in Hathin, a small village located in Haryana to Shri Chandra Prakash Agarwal, a teacher and subsequently, a hardworking businessman, and Shrimati Pushapa Devi, a dedicated housewife. He is the eldest of five children, 4 brothers and 1 sister, in the family.
Moving to East Delhi in early 80’s, he completed his B.Com. Honours and LLB from the University of Delhi. Driven by strong conviction, he decided to join his father in the family manufacturing business. He has turned it into a thriving business that has paid millions of rupees in taxes and guaranteed several hundred jobs in the local community for more than 30 years now.
Pursued by a strong desire to offer more to nation’s development, he became an active member of Bharat Vikas Parishad in 1991. He quickly realised the magnitude of issues rotting the society and therefore, decided to put in even greater efforts for building a better place for future generations.
He eventually joined BJP in 1993 and over the years, he has taken various responsibilities within the party, starting with Prabhari in Anarkali Mandal, then District Booth Sayonjak and now, District Vice President. He has successfully worked towards bringing a positive change in the society by attacking fundamental issues such as women empowerment and literacy rate among the poor. He joined Chaupal where he has been helping working women get loans.
Having worked for public benefit for so long individually, he decided to take a public office to widen the scope and impact of his social work. He entered the Delhi’s Municipal Corporation Election in 2017 with an aim to make Vivek Vihar a better place. He broke the stronghold of Congress that had lasted for more than 15 years and was elected as a Councillor. Since elected, he has been working relentlessly to bring positive, long-lasting change to citizens' life.
